Description
The Photon bench (02.409.2), designed by Filip Babiarz, is a sophisticated piece of street furniture that seamlessly integrates modern technology into the public landscape. As part of the premium smart city product line, this bench without a backrest serves as a multifunctional hub, measuring 278 cm in width, 45 cm in height, and 69 cm in depth. The robust construction is available in durable carbon steel (S235JR) or high-grade stainless steel (AISI 304), providing long-lasting stability for high-traffic environments. The seat is crafted from high-quality European coniferous or exotic hardwoods, including options for soft wood, oil-finished hard wood, or premium hardwood, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and resistance to the elements.
Functionality is at the core of the Photon design, which comes standard with advanced electrical integration. The urban furniture piece is equipped with two USB A 3.0 quick charge ports and one USB C 3.0 quick charge port, powered by a 100 W supply. Depending on the configuration, the bench can be further enhanced with a wireless charger (10 W), a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot, and integrated neutral white LED lighting (2 x 1m). Additional customization options include the attachment of a bicycle rack on either or both sides, as well as the inclusion of a side table on the left, allowing for tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of modern public spaces.
Installation of the benches is facilitated through a secure bolting method to the foundation, ensuring stability and safety. The design allows for personal branding, with the option to have a custom logo milled directly into the wooden seat. With weights ranging from 143 kg to 171 kg depending on the wood selection, the Photon bench offers a substantial, permanent seating solution that elevates the functionality of any metropolitan area. By combining sustainable materials with cutting-edge connectivity, this product represents the future of urban furniture design, providing comfort and convenience to citizens while maintaining a clean, minimalist silhouette that complements contemporary architecture.
